ADHD & neurodiversity coaching · Bristol · online

Not broken. Just wired differently.

I’m Alexandra Kidd. I coach ADHD and neurodivergent adults, families and teams — and I have ADHD myself.

01 — The work

What coaching can help with.

I work with adults, families and teams on the day-to-day of being neurodivergent. These are the five outcomes I name on my own site.

They are what we aim for together — not a promise of a result.

  1. Gain a sense of self and direction

  2. Find calm in the chaos

  3. Let go of guilt and shame

  4. Feel confident and empowered

  5. Organisation and information retention

Coaching is not therapy and it is not a diagnosis. That difference is worth knowing before we speak.

02 — The tangle

Work with your brain, not against it.

“We will explore how you and your brain work and discover ways to make it work with you, not against you.”

That is the whole approach. Not forcing a straighter line — finding the route that already belongs to you.

  1. Truly listening

Being fully present and focused on you as an individual.

  2. Collaborating

We work together as partners, not as an expert and a subject.

  3. Creating a safe space

Built on trust, understanding and freedom of thought.

  4. Embracing individuality

“There is no ‘one size fits all’ in my coaching approach.”

03 — How it works

A phone call, then the work.

The first conversation is free, and it is twenty minutes. We use it to work out whether coaching is the right fit — no obligation either way.

Zoom · phone · Westbury-on-Trym · Queen Square

  1. Free 20-minute phone consultation

We talk about what you would like to achieve, how neurodiversity might be affecting life at the moment, and where coaching could support you.

  2. We agree what you want to work on

We explore what you would like to achieve and set out a route towards it. You decide what we start with, and at what pace.

  3. Sessions, in the setting that suits

By Zoom or by phone. In person in Westbury-on-Trym, or at The Practice Rooms in Queen Square, central Bristol. There are also nature and walk-and-talk sessions.

  4. Support and resources between sessions

Coaching does not stop at the end of the hour. There is support in between and personalised resources to use in your own time.

04 — Families & teams

It is not only one person’s brain.

I work with couples, families and teams as well as individuals. The same principle applies: understand how each person works, then build something that fits all of you.

For families

Tailored to your family’s needs

  • Understanding how neurodivergence shapes communication, behaviour and daily life.
  • Naming the goals and the challenges, together.
  • Communication that works for everyone in the house.
  • Building on the strengths each person already brings.
  • A home that is more understanding, and easier to be in.

For teams & organisations

Neurodiversity training that is specific

  • What you want to achieve, and a roadmap to get there.
  • The strengths already in the team, and how to use them.
  • The barriers holding things where they are.
  • Communication and relationships across the team.
  • Purpose and fulfilment in the work, not only output.

06 — About

I have ADHD myself.

I am a coach, not a clinician. I have lived experience, over a decade of supporting neurodivergent people, and a long memory for other people’s stories.

Alexandra Kidd, ADHD and neurodiversity coach in Bristol
Alexandra Kidd · Bristol

I have ADHD, and I struggle with remembering things — amongst other things. But I have always had an extraordinary memory when it comes to people’s stories. That is where this work started: a lifelong interest in what makes people who they are.

For over a decade I have supported neurodivergent individuals, from children to adults, in schools and in businesses. I bring that, and my own experience, to every session. I work with individuals, with families, and with teams and organisations.

Sessions are by Zoom, by phone, or in person in Westbury-on-Trym and at The Practice Rooms in Queen Square, central Bristol. Nature and walk-and-talk sessions are available too, if sitting still in a room is not the most useful place for you to think.

“To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.”

08 — Questions

Things people ask before they call.

If your question is not here, email me and I will answer it plainly.

Do I need a diagnosis to work with you?

No. You do not need a diagnosis to come to coaching, and I do not assess or diagnose ADHD. Coaching is about how you work day to day — what helps, what gets in the way, and what you would like to change.

Is this therapy?

No. I am a coach, not a therapist or a clinician. I am currently training in couple and family counselling, but coaching is a different kind of conversation: practical, collaborative, and aimed at what you want to do next.

Are sessions online or in person?

Both. I work by Zoom and by phone, in person in Westbury-on-Trym and at The Practice Rooms in Queen Square, central Bristol. There are also nature and walk-and-talk sessions if you would rather be outside.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on you. I offer a block of 6 × 60 minutes, a block of 3 × 1.5 hours, or a one-off 2.5-hour session. We can talk through which shape fits at the free 20-minute consultation, and you are not tied to anything before that.

Can you help a family?

Yes, I offer couples and family ADHD coaching in 60-minute sessions, and I work with families on communication, understanding and strengths. I should say plainly that I am at full capacity for family and under-18 coaching at the moment, and I keep a waiting list for January 2027 onwards.

What if I am on a low income?

Get in touch. I offer student, Access to Work, and low income or out-of-employment options on request, and we can talk about what is possible.
